Lilit Margaryan, MD, DABOM
Double Board-Certified in Internal Medicine & Obesity Medicine
Background & Training
Dr. Lilit Margaryan is a double board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine, with over a decade of clinical training and experience dedicated to helping patients feel better, live longer, and finally find an approach to their health that actually works. She founded Li Health on a simple but powerful belief: that everyone deserves access to a real physician — not just a quick appointment, but a doctor who truly listens.
Dr. Margaryan received her medical degree from Yerevan State Medical University — one of the leading medical universities in Eastern Europe. After moving to the United States, she completed a clinical research fellowship at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, deepening her expertise in evidence-based, patient-centered medicine.
Dr. Margaryan completed her Internal Medicine residency at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio — a program recognized for its rigorous clinical training and exceptional standards. During her residency, she stood out not only for her medical skill, but for her extraordinary compassion. She was honored with two of the program’s most prestigious distinctions: the “Residency Award for Excellence” and the “Stephen Mueller Humanitarian Award” — the highest honor bestowed upon graduating residents, recognizing both clinical achievement and a rare, heartfelt dedication to patients.
Dr. Margaryan is passionate about obesity medicine because she knows how deeply personal — and how medically complex — weight struggles truly are. She combines the latest evidence-based treatments, including GLP-1 therapies and personalized lifestyle medicine, with thoughtful, unhurried care that helps patients feel understood and empowered to make lasting change.
Fluent in English, Russian, and Armenian — and with a working understanding of Ukrainian — Dr. Margaryan connects authentically with patients from a wide range of backgrounds and communities.
Outside the clinic, she is an accomplished pianist, a dedicated chess player, and a passionate home cook. Most of all, she treasures every moment with her loving husband and their two children — a reminder of why compassionate, family-centered care matters so deeply to her.

Clinical Philosophy
“Obesity is a complex, chronic disease — not a character flaw or a lack of willpower. I treat it the same way any physician would treat diabetes or hypertension: with evidence-based medicine, compassion, and a long-term plan. The same principle applies to all the conditions I see at Li Health. You deserve a doctor who actually listens, takes time to explain, and partners with you for the long haul.”
Evidence-Based
